Cancer Sucks! This was my FB status last night. Read the bottom of this blog to find out why!

Hi All!

Feeling fabulous as this 30-Days to Fit Challenge continues....still no bread and not even missing it!  Now that I am done with my 7-Day Cleanse, I am continuing on with a healthy diet which includes lots of fruit and vegetables, brown rice, fish, chicken and whatever else looks "healthy".  I'm still using everything from the 30-Day Fit Kit each day, including Protein Powder Shakes, Fiber Powder, Fizz Tabs, Caramel and Chocolate Fit Chews, Herbal Detox Tea...and I've also added in the Antioxidant & Immunity Booster each morning.  Here's a description of this product:
  • What is Arbonne Essentials Antioxidant and Immunity Booster?
Arbonne's Antioxidant and Immunity Booster is delicious 3 oz beverage shot loaded with super fruit juices such as blueberry, pomegranate, acai, grape juice and many more.Antioxidants are found in the super fruit juices, as well as in the ingredients found in the antioxidant blend: milk thistle, amla fruit, holy basil, olive, elderberry and turmeric are all powerful antioxidants that help fight free radicals. Supports immune system and boosts energy.

  • So, I'm still going strong and feeling great!  I'm hoping for another couple pounds to be gone by the end of this week.  Who's ready to join me?

SCOTT!  He started his 7-Day Cleanse today.  He has already been experiencing the "gentle elimination" that the product description claims it will do and he had to send me an email today at work telling me so.  Too funny!  He's such a guy!  Anyway, he has been drinking Protein Powder Shakes for the last week and now claims that he is addicted to them.  He says they give him so much energy and he always feels full after drinking them.  He has only tried Vanilla and says he won't try Chocolate (another sign that he is definitely a guy!).  I'm so proud of my hubby for trying these products and for completely committing to this 30-Days to Fit Challenge.  BTW...He even made protein bars last night for our family using the Vanilla Protein Powder.  Yummy!

Been eating a lot of sushi lately and found that Osaka in Coon Rapids is really good!  I highly recommend the Osaka, MN special roll!  YUMMY!!!

    Have a great night everybody!
    XOXO

PS.  Last night, an x-coworker (Micah Wheeler) from Assurant came over and bought 35 Cancer Sucks T-shirts from us.  She brought them to work this morning and her and 34 other co-workers were wearing them in honor of my friend, Linda Nelson, who was just recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  She returned back to work today, after having knee surgery 6 weeks ago.  During her time healing from surgery, she had an annual mammogram in which the cancer was detected.  The shirts are part of our fund-raising efforts for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program.  Each shirt has our daughter's name on the back and the name of one of our other little friends who's a survivor. "In memory of McKenna Johnson" "In honor of Chase Banken".  I'm so glad McKenna was with Linda today.  I just have to say it again... CANCER SUCKS!

    Feeling SO Goood!

Hi All!  I finished my 7-Day Body Cleanse today and it was fitting that I was able to speak about it at an Arbonne event this morning.  I was able to share how I felt, (which was energized and amazing!) and what my experience was with the product over the past 7 days.  I shared with them, basically what I've been posting here all week.  More energy, weight-loss, better senses (smell and taste especially), clearer thinking, happy, etc.  I think they are ALL ordering the products (7-Day Cleanse and Fizz Tabs) for themselves!  I know they'll love it and will want to do it again in a few months.  I know I will!

My friend from high school and also one of my Arbonne teammates just started her 30-day challenge.  Shannon is hoping to lose 40 pounds by using these products!!  Cheer her on!  Here's her site:  http://arbonne30dayfitchallenge.blogspot.com/

I'm so excited that I helped inspire Shannon to do this, just as I was inspired by my ENVP, Lynn Hagedorn  (Hi Lynn!).  I saw Lynn in Las Vegas at our Global Training Conference and she looked so amazing!  After seeing her and hearing her talk about how she did it with the Arbonne products, I couldn't wait to get home and start my exercise and diet program.  It's working!  Like I said yesterday, I'm down 5 lbs already!!!  I'm hoping for another 10 to go bye-bye soon!

Okay..not much else to tell tonight.  Hope you are all well!

    XOXO

    5 POUNDS LOST!!!!

Hey..I don't have a lot of time to blog tonight but I need to let you all know that I'm down 5 pounds!!!  YES!  This morning when I got on the scale, I got on, got off, got on again, got off, jiggled it around a little, got back on again, then called Scott into the bathroom to look at the scale!  135!!!!!  Woo Hoo!  It hasn't even been a week yet but I'm down 5 pounds!

Tonight, I went out for a team meeting at Claddagh's, an Irish pub.  Instead of ordering the fish and chips (which are AMAZING and AWESOME!), I ordered grilled salmon with rice pilaf and steamed carrots and broccoli.  Guess what?  It was really good!  I walked out of that restaurant for the first time, not feeling like I was so bloated, full and ready for a nap.  I'm so proud of myself and feeling so good tonight!!!  :)

Tomorrow will be the last day of my 7-day detox.  I'm so happy I started this journey with this product.  Who else needs to lose weight or just feel better?  YOU NEED THE 7-DAY BODY CLEANSE from Arbonne!  Let me know if you are interested and I can hook you up.  The retail cost is $49....but there are many ways to get it at a discount.  Just ask me!

Scott is doing great also.  He has been drinking the ready-made protein shakes each morning and he says they give him energy and he feels less hungry throughout the day.  He also loves the Fizz Tabs and adds them to his water every day.  He is starting the 7-Day Body Cleanse on Monday.  He keeps hearing me talk about it and sees me feeling so good that he now wants to do it to.  I think he's pretty smart!  :)

So anyway...today was a GREAT day!  I'm so ready for the next 3 weeks of continuing on this regimen of healthy foods, protein shakes, fiber powder, fizz tabs and exercising.  I'm totally pumped because I feel so good!  I wish you could all feel as good as I do right now!

    XOXO

Day 5 of my 7-Day Body Cleanse

The scale still said 137 this morning.  Stupid Scale!  My driver's license says 120.  LOL!  I'm going to believe my driver's license!

The Detox is going great.  I'm noticing some really strange things that I have to share here.  Taste and smell.  I swear that I can taste and smell things better!  I just started noticing this today with food..and then unfortunately with a stinky guy who got on the treadmill next to me at the gym. (I ran 3 miles!!)  He reeked and I had to switch treadmills!   Weird, right???  But seriously, my senses must not have been working too good before and this detox has really made me notice.  I'm still a little surprised at this and plan on asking around to see if anybody else has noticed this.  FYI:  It's not just the "stinky" smells that I can smell better!!!

After the trip to the gym, I came home and made a protein shake using the Arbonne Vanilla Protein Powder, a scoop of fiber powder, 1 cup of fresh raspberries, blueberries and strawberries, water and ice.  It was so yummy!  That was my supper for the night and I am not even hungry!!  YES, I ate lunch.  I chose the "healthy" meal at our cafe today.  Steamed carrots, brown rice and braised beef beef tips.  I have no idea how many calories it was, but it was filling and really good.  No, I didn't eat breakfast...I was too busy drinking my 32 oz of detox swill!

FYI:  I'm not really counting calories on this diet.  I have cut back on fattening foods and breads and am eating smaller portions..but I refuse to count calories.   That's too much work and I know I would be really bad at keeping track.

So if you're reading this blog...does that mean you "secretly" want to lose weight, exercise more or just feel better?  Whatever the reason...I love that you are on this journey with me. Typing this blog is forcing me to be focused and committed to staying on this kick!  THANKS!

    XOXO

    NO BREAD!

Hi All!  So yeah...no bread today.  I'm sure I've gone many days without eating bread before, but this is the first day ever that I've consciously cut it out of my diet.  It was so super easy that I'm almost embarrassed that I made such a big deal about it yesterday!  No bagels, bread, or toast for me for the next month!  No problem!  (maybe)

Well, I don't have any more pounds to report, coming off miraculously throughout the night.  Darn it! HOWEVER, I got through Day 4 of my detox and I can honestly say that I'm used to the taste and acutally like it with the Fizz Tabs in it.  I highly recommend to anybody who wants to try the 7-Day Body Cleanse to also get the Fizz Tabs.  (Unless you like the taste of sludge!)  They are making this so much easier!

I posted pictures of the Arbonne Essential products last night and I was hoping that everybody could read the ingredients on the box of the 7-Day Body Cleanse...I could read it when I zoomed in, but apparently you can't "zoom" on this Blog.  So for those who asked, I'm typing them out for you. Here goes:

Full Body Cleansing Blend: Senna leaf extract (8% sennosides), Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) root extract, Fucoidan (Laminaria japonica) extract (40% silymarin, Agave, Inulin, Aloe vera (Aloe Barbadensis) leaf, Nettle (Urtica dioca) extract, Chlorella broken cell (Chlorella pyrenoidoisa), Blue green algae (Aphanizomeonon flos aquae), Spirulina whole cell algae (Spirulina platensis), Nori-sea weed (Porphyra umbilicalis), Red marine algae (Gigartina skottsbergii), Cascara sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana) bark, Buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula) bark, Slipperly elm (ulmus rubra) bark, Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) whole herb

Superfood Antioxidant Blend: Grape juice powder, Orange juice powder, Pineapple juice powder, Grapefruit juice powder, Blueberry juice powder, Passion Fruit juice powder, Carrot juice powder, Mango juice powder, Kiwi juice powder, Cranberry juice powder

I can't pronounce all the ingredients and have no idea what some of them do..but if you want to check out the significance of the botanicals in the blend, just go to arbonne.com and you can find a list of them and their benefits.  Or just google the ones you are curious about.

The stairs still sucked today but YES I did them!  And YES I will continue to do them EVERY day!  My co-worker, mentioned me blogging about our stair climb yesterday.  (hee hee!)  Even my co-workers are checking out this blog!  Paul..2pm tomorrow..you, me and the full 10 flights of stairs!

As for posting my "inches" on this blog, I know I said I would, however I'm having second thoughts.  I may or may not. I'm not 100% sure I'm brave enough for that!  YIKES!!!  Knowing me though, and my usual attitude of "Whatever!", I probably will as soon as I can find a tape measure!

No gym tonight.  But I just sat for 2 hours and watched American Idol and thought about working out.  :)  That counts, right?

Well that's it for now.  If there's any pounds missing in the morning, good riddance!

    XOXO

Special Delivery! Check out the photos below!

When I woke up this morning I was 3 pounds lighter than I was on Sunday. Seriously! Woo Hoo! Guess this detox is working!!! I better hurry up and take some measurements before I lose anymore! Should have those posted tomorrow. :)

Today was Day 3 of my 7-Day Body Cleanse. I added a whole citrus fizz tab and a 1/2 of the pomegranate and I LIKED the taste!!! I had no problem drinking it and am actually looking forward to the 32 ounces tomorrow. :) The Fizz Tabs are great energy boosters, mood lifters and appetite supressesants. It's a win win if you ask me! I LOVE these and use them everyday. It's how I kicked my Diet Coke addiction without the headaches. (Any other D.C. addicts out there???)
    Today's Exercise:
    • I walked up 9 flights of stairs today with a co-worker. It kicked my ass! UGH! I'm going to start doing this daily...and because I blogged it here, now I'll really have to! :)
    • Our family went to the gym together tonight. (I love doing this with our 14yo son and 11yo daughter!) My plan was to run 4 miles again but I only made it 1.25 miles and had to stop because my legs were cramping up. (What a wuss!) I hopped on a stationary bike and rode 8 miles on the "Fat Burning" mode for my age and weight. (While I watched Scott continue his 4 mile run) It was super easy and pretty relaxing so I'm not really counting it as exercise. HOWEVER, it was better than sitting on my couch!
    What did I eat?
Breakfast: I've been starting off every morning with a bowl of oatmeal (steel-cut) with raisins, brown sugar (can't eat oatmeal without it!), and a heaping spoonful of Arbonne Fiber Boost fiber powder. This one scoop gives you 1/2 the daily recommended fiber and it helps to keep you full longer. It's odorless and tasteless and can be added in to any foods or liquids. I love this stuff!
Lunch: A small helping of steamed vegetables (today was green beans), a litle bit of brown rice, and an Arbonne Vanilla Protein Shake, which is filled with 20 grams of protein and super yummy!
Dinner: Totally went bad! I had a Jimmy John's Vito Sub. (Itallian) OOPS! Nobody's perfect!!!
Tomorrow the real diet starts! I'm cutting out bread for the next 30 days. YIKES!!! Did I just say that? OMG! I wonder if I'll die?
    Wish me luck!
    Krista :)

PS.  Have I mentioned that Arbonne's nutritional products are Vegan? Well, they are!  They are Gluten Free, Whey Free, Soy Free and contain NO artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners.

2nd day of my 7-day Body Cleanse

I have learned that before starting any diet or weight loss program, you should detoxify your system.  Fat cells like to cling to toxins in your body so if you get rid of toxins, then your fat cells have nowhere to hide out.  Makes sense to me, so therefore I am detoxifying my system!

I started my 7-day detox yesterday!  I am using the 7-day Body Cleanse from Arbonne and I know from past experience that this stuff works GREAT!  When I did it last time, I had just started training for a 1/2 marathon and I was able to run 5 miles one day and 6 the next...and I felt like I could have done more.  I wasn't feeling any of the muscle soreness or fatigue that I would normally feel at the start of training.  I had tons of energy and I felt great, so this is what I'm hoping for again. :)

Here's a description of the product from the Arbonne website: "7-Day Body Cleanse - Helps cleanse and detoxify the system and support the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Assists with the gentle elimination of toxins."

Now to be honest, I have to tell you that I really don't like the taste of the detox "stuff".  In fact, I think it's pretty gross!  So this time, I took a friends' advice and am adding some NRG Go Fizz Tabs to the concoction.  It is MUCH MUCH better this way and I'd encourage everybody to do this!!  Each day, you take a small bottle of the detox stuff, shake it up and pour it into a large water bottle. (I am using the Arbonne Sea Source water bottle because it's perfectly sized)  You then pour in 32 ounces of water, add 1/2 each of the citrus and pomegranate fizz tabs and put it in the fridge for the night.  Then you drink it all the next day.  I still find myself guzzling as much as possible each time I take a drink...but this helps to make it disappear faster and the taste doesn't seem so bad.  See?  No sugarcoating this!  I don't really like it, but I am still doing it!

The rest of the "diet" will start as soon as my shipment of protein and fiber powders arrive.  I'm hoping to have it all by Wednesday and then I'll be updating this blog daily with all the details.  Good and bad.

Hope you all have a good night!

I'm happy to be "detoxifying" myself as I sleep!

    Krista :-)
